Shinko Sr741 140/70-18 63V Rear Motorcycle

Fantastic sticky grippy tire that's never let me down. I run a 140/70-18 rear and Shinko 230 front in 100/90-18 since neither model is offered in both sizes. Same rubber compound. SR741 Rear does great on twisty road touring. Only downfall is rapid treadwear, if you get 5000 miles, you're lucky. But for the price and phenomenal grip, it's simply amazing for a DIY'er who doesn't mind mounting tires every 4,700 miles. I get a lot higher miles out of them riding aggressively when I stick to twisty Appalachian backroads. I don't moto commute or city joyride. center will wear faster if all you do is straight roads and highways. Avon AM26 if you want moderate grip and better treadwear. I won't trade grip for treadwear though unless riding coast to coast...
