Metzeler Sportec M7 front tire
I've been using the Sportec series tires since the original M3 on my 2009 Ducati 1100 Monster. The M5 was an improvement over the M3 and now the M7 has upped it again. Excellent grip and I love the steering response. I don't ride in the rain so I can't comment on wet road grip.

Dry or wet, they stick really well. I ran them on my K1300S, now I run them on my S1000XR.

I ran these on my K1300S. Now I run them on my S1000XR. Always there, wet or dry. Perfect, smooth or a bit rough and bumpy. No slip. I believe that these are a slight improvement over the M5s that got me over Sonora Pass when it was covered in a quarter inch of ball-bearing hail.
